My Story

Originally from Ohio, Emma began her training at the Schrader Youth Ballet.  She graduated with a BFA in dance from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music.  She has danced with the Louisville Ballet and the Eugene Ballet performing works such as Balanchine’s Theme and Variations, Adam Hougland’s Rite of Spring, and Gerald Arpino’s Light Rain. Emma joined Nevada Ballet Theatre in 2014 where her repertoire includes  “Alice” in Septime Werbre’s Alice (in Wonderland), “Clara” in James Canfield’s The Nutcracker, pas de trois in Ben Stevenson’s Swan Lake, “Tinkerbell” in Jorden Morris’ Peter Pan, “Princess Florine'' in Sleeping Beauty, the title role in James Canfield’s and Tara Foy’s Cinderella, demi-soloist in Christopher Wheeldon’s Carousel (A Dance), and “Beauty'' in Lew Christensen’s Beauty and the Beast. Balanchine works include principal roles in Who Cares? and Serenade, and a soloist in Raymonda Variations. Contemporary works include Paul Taylor’s Company B, the world premiere of Matthew Neenan’s Until December, Nicolo Fonte’s Bolero and the world premiere of Nicolo Fonte’s Crane/ing.  She has performed with the unique performance group #instaballet and is a founding member of the Las Vegas-based Ballet120.  Emma has danced for the summer company Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance for three seasons performing works by Heather Maloy.  She has been a summer faculty member at Young People's Summer Stock Performing Arts Camp in Baltimore, Md for eight years.  She has also returned to her hometown studio on multiple occasions to teach master classes.
